Mike Alexander has an Associates Degree in Music Performance. He is currently working on finishing a second dgree in Early Music Performance with a focus on Baroque Lute and the Music of Silrius Leopold Weiss.
Mike's teaching experience ranges from piano, mandolin, banjo, and guitar. (Along with some other unusual stringed instruments!)
He has been teaching and performing for more than 24 years playing with The Hawk Owls, Culver Gap, Appalachian Uprising, and a Rolling Stones cover band Tumblin' Rox. You can also find Mike playing at the Sarah Street Grill - Stroudsberg, Salt, Roys Hall - Balirstown, the Stanhope House, and Bernies Hillside in Chester NJ.
HIs approach with his students is open and easy. He works to find what the student is hoping to learn and to exlpore material for the instrument. Having a good ear when playing is key.
Mike accepts beginners of all ages and those who are accomplished that want to learn some new tricks!
