Angela Marcone has an extensive background in Vocal Training, Instructional Management, and Music Curriculum Development. She holds her Masters in Music Education from Boston University. Angela has been teaching voice for 20 years. She has both a private studio and a studio at The Music Den. Angela's teaching hours at The Music Den are Tuesday - Thursday (4 PM - 8 PM)
My focus is on each student's individual needs. Assessing the voice to determine what needs to be done to improve or develop the instrument is a dual effort. The student and I work together to determine goals. I work primarily with students ages 9-16. Many of my students are performing in local Broadway plays and several are singer/songwriters. I also work with adult students who wish to get back into singing. Beginners are welcome.
Because of the wonderful facilities at The Music Den, I am able to get my students on the stage quite frequently. Taking the work from the studio onto a stage is crucial for a singer's development. There is nothing like the thrill of having a song idea and bringing it to fruition on the stage before an audience.
I enjoy beginning piano students both adult and children. I feel that my passion for singing carries over into an emotional touch when learning to play piano. If you are looking to learn to accompany yourself while singing, I am happy to show you my techniques. I am fully versed in theory and the rubrics of playing the piano. If you are working towards goals of lifetime playing, I am happy to share my expertise and then pass you on to a higher qualified piano instructor.
I look forward to working with you.
