Flute. Donna holds a Bachelors of Music from Montclair University, NJ. Donna's experience in teaching has spanned for more than 15 years. She studied with world renowned artist Paula Robison, Ransom Wilson, Jeanne Baxtresser, Susan Palma, Gerardo Levy, and Peggy Schecter. Donna has worked with various venues and studios including: Montclair Music Studio, MSU Prepatory Division, Calderone School of Music, O'DiBella Music, Paramus H.S., New Milford H.S. Jazz Marching and Concert Band, Grove Street Elementary, and Irvington Schools.
Donna was a two-time concerto competition winner at Montclair State University as well as a two-time runner up at the concerto competition in the Sout Orange Symphony. She is a winner of the South Jersey Culteral Alliance Young Artist Series. She belongs to NJMEA and NJ Flute Society, as well as the NJ Flute Club. Donna has played in the orchestra pit as the Principal Flute with the MSU Orchetra. Other affilliated performaces with Livingston Symphony, YMHA Orchestra, and Jersey State Univesity Orchestra. She has experience in extensive solo and chamber music performance in the tri-state-area.
Her philosophy and teaching style is adapted to meet the needs of each student. An emphasis on proper technique, breathing, musical notation, and musicianship are among her highest priorities. Donna offers lessons to beginners through college level students. Donna also plays clarinet and saxophone.
