Welcome Parents and Students
Thank you for choosing The Music Den for your music lessons. We take pride in offering the finest instruction in the area. Our teachers are qualified, certified, and most have either a Bachelors or Masters in Music. We are excited to add you to our roster of students. Welcome to the "Den".
We have a wonderful state of the art facility (RPAC - Randolph Performing Arts Center) that hosts countless recitals, seminars, and performing artists.
Once you join as a student, you have a plethera of opportunities awaiting you. Monthly Recitals, Rock Band (form a group and be on stage!), Percussion Ensemble, Group Guitar Classes - both adults and children, Kids Keyboarding and Music Exploration (Ages 4-6), Blues Grass Ensemble (groups formed based on sign up), The yearly "Drum Off" contest, and the "Guitar PLayoff" contest are just a few of our offerings. In addition we offer a two-week Summer Camp for kids ages 7-16 as well as a Broadway troupe class that creates and performs scenes from popular musicals.
It is important that you plan carefully when signing up for lessons. You should look at your schedule now and in the future. Our sign up is on a monthly basis and the teachers work progressively towards goals. If you cannot commit to the time and day that you request, it will be difficult to progress in your training. If your schedule changes after you make your commitment, you should come up with an alternative schedule and present it to the teacher. Perhaps a change in day or time can be available. The most important factor is that you/your child keeps a reliable and constistent schedule for developing skills on his/her/your instrument.
Please be sure to request and read our policies when signing up for lessons.
The lesson structure at The Music Den is required monthly attendance. Upon sign up, you should expect to attend lessons every week at the designated time agreed. The teacher will be available for a one-on-one lesson for either 1/2 hour or for 1 hour.
You are required to enroll your credit card and will be billed at the start of each month for the corresponding number of lesson days.
There are instances where a child is sick, or the teacher is out. In this case, you should always contact both the Education Desk and your teacher. Your teacher will work with you to determine the best approach to a missed lesson.
Our policy specifically outlines no refunds for missed lessons.
If you are a long term student (6 months or more), you may ask for a vacation credit.
Should you miss your lesson without notification to the Education Desk or the teacher, the lesson will not be made up or refunded.
Knowing the policy helps you to make informed and clear decisions about your commitment to studying music.
Thank you for enrolling.
I look forward to a great relationship with you at the "Den".
