If you are into songwriting or poetry The Class will be held in the RPAC (Randolph Performing Arts Center) at the Randolph Store from 7:00 - 8:00 PM on Tuesday Nights. Each class will help you to develop your creativity in writing poetry or songs. You may perform your written word on the stage. Once students feel comfortable enough with their work and preparation, we will offer open nights to the comunity to hear your work. Elizabeth Dispenza is the Moderator for this Event.
Elizabeth Conrad Dispenza is a former television producer who was part of the team that launched the A & E Channel for ABC-Hearst Enterprises. She was responsible for producing, researching and collaborating with writers, actors,
Tv crews which included world known celebrities in Europe and the U.S. which inspired her to create workshops and original writing for diverse audiences.
More recently, Ms. Dispenza earned a degree at William Paterson University while working as a program assistant in the Music Department/Jazz Studies office at the university. Ms. Dispenza was able to collaborate with jazz musicians such as Freddie Hendrix, Jameio Brown, Oliver Lakes, Bryon Strickland, and others while performing her original poetry on stages at Shea Peforming Arts and in the tri-state area. Ms. Dispenza was also part of Poetry Choir a five person ensemble of diverse
Artists who wrote and performed with jazz and classical musicians in New York city and surrounding venues headed by Golda Solomon and spoken word artist Tyrone Henderson, artist Quimetta Perle. The group was hailed by the New York Times as “innovative and a testament to cultural diversity in performance.”
In addition to her writing activities, Ms. Dispenza is a public school language arts and reading intervention teacher, encouraging students to achieve their goals.
Through her love of writing in all of its forms, Ms. Dispenza has designed expressive, creative workshops that inspire others to honor their creative spirit through the written and spoken word, as well as movement and sound.
